: : PHP does have local variables. Or do you mean something else?
<cut>
: I am sorry, I actually meant block-level scoping....
:
: Is it possible before (or inside) the final v4 release?
Just thought of a wild reason which is why local variables
will be useful.
You build an array:
if ( etc )
{
$blah[] = "result of some manip";
$blah[] = "result of some manip";
# insert $blah by join()ing in a sql table or somewhere
# contains only manipulation results and not directly-entered data!
}
I could pass the entries through:
http://blah.com/myscript.php?blah[]=HAHA&blah[]=OVERFLOW
local variables would come very handy in such cases! But I also
understand that creating block-level scoping requires alot of
work for optimization and stuff.....
Thank you.
