Is the Blackdown library in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH?
By the way, I'm planning on updating the README's for ext/java to suggest
that most users interested in Java support would be much happier if they
use a sapi/servlet along with the servlet engine of their choice (I use
jakarta) on top of their favorite web server. It is easier to
install/configure, and generally more functional and robust.
