Be sure to reply to that address.
I upgraded my apache from 1.3.9 to 1.3.12 and php
from 3.0.14 to 4.0b4.
I have mysql 3.22.32 that is working fine in
console :
> [mysql@linux mysql]# mysql -u sesion -p
> Enter password:
> Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end
with ; or g.
> Your MySQL connection id is 13 to server
version: 3.22.32
>
> Type 'help' for help.
> mysql> quit
> Bye
But when I try to access them from apache I
receive:
> Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server
through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in
db_mysql.inc on line 73
> Database error: pconnect(localhost, sesion,
$Password) failed.
> MySQL Error: ()
> Session halted.
I have mysql installed in /usr/bin
& /var/lib/mysql.
One thing I noticed is that mysql(console) looks
mysql.sock in /var/lib/mysql (where actually is)
and apache looks in /tmp.
How can I explain apache where to look for the
socket? I think that's the problem. Isn't it?
