i thought we no longer used automake. anyhow - i don't care
(really) for the bundled mysql and expat - but everything
that makes php "alive" i'd like to recompile with different
optimisation levels without having to look into the
config_vars to find the "current" setting.
maybe we could move stuff like " -D_POSIX_PTHREAD_SEMANTICS
-D_REENTRANT " into php_config.h that way CFLAGS would be
free (again) to set the compiler-options at make-time.
