Do you mean application variables?
If you really mean session variables, the following paragraphs
apply:
Session: The period of time a user interacts with a web site
incessantly.
A session object is automatically deleted, when the session ends.
The assumption that a session object should last forever is wrong.
(Unless your users never sleep, of course.)
