session.gc_maxlifetime specifies the number of seconds after which
data will be seen as 'garbage' and cleaned up.
Saw that, but it's not clear from when the time clock starts: "number
of seconds" since when? When variable registered? When accessed on
each subsequent PHP page view which accesses the registered variable?
rwidmer> What are your settings for these values?
The default, which works out to 24 minutes if the manual is correct
and time is measured in seconds. 24 minutes seems like an unusual
number, and I wonder if the docs are wrong (should be minutes instead
of seconds) or maybe the default should be 24 * 60 * 60 instead of
just 24 * 60.
Thanks.
