hi,
is it possible to print a stack trace in php4?
this could be very helpful in combination with
the error_log-command to track down errors.
especially the information about the hirarchy
of include-files and main files ist very interesting
in this context: currently, php only prints out the
file in which the error occurs but not the name
of the script that included the file.
it could also help to see the complete path of
the script in the error message. errors like:
[20-Mar-2000 11:58:42] PHP Warning: Field id not found in
./handler_benutzer.inc on line 30
... are not too descriptive if you have different
include files called handler_benutzer.inc in
different directories.
it also could help to see the function call stack.
the output could look like this:
[20-Mar-2000 12:19:51] PHP Parse error: parse error in
/home/www/knowone4/suche/ergebnis.inc on line 122 included by suche.php
in line 20: function show_result() in ergebnis.inc called by search() on
line 40 in suche.php called by main on line 200 in suche.php
is there something like that in php or is someone planning to implement
that?
