Hi,
When I set 'allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off' in php.ini I get warnings about the
call to $fp = fsockopen($server, 80, &$errno, &$errstr);
Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would
like to pass it by
reference, modify the declaration of fsockopen(). If you would like to enable call-time
pass-by-reference, you can
setallow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support
this any longer. in
c:/web/php/headlines.php3 on line 129
Should I be getting this warning? Obviously I'm not going to change the declaration :) How
to make it go away without changing error_reporting (and how to pass by reference in beta4)?
Thanks,
John
