Because if you notice (which you probably have) most of the functions created in PHP4 use
"RETURN_FALSE" whereas the functions converted from PHP3 use "return",
"RETURN_FALSE" is not only more explicit but it also (from what I see) in keeping with the
rest of the later, PHP4ish functions.
