It sounds like the same problem that I have. If I set up php4isapi.dll in the filters, IIS crashes when trying to start the service. I found that if I do not put the php.ini file in the windows directory, it does not crash, but the .dll was still not loaded. However, if I do not put the .dll in the filters, but do associate the php4isapi.dll with the .php file extension in IIS, then the .php files would process. I was unable to find the solution to the problem and since the modules have not been released for php4 yet, I've opted to stick with php3 for the now. Sorry, for not being any help. But if you do find the answer, I would love to know it. Fred K Gohsman Ketl Internet Consulting http://www.KETL.com -----Original Message----- From: Excelsior p.s. I assume that code tested on NT will run with no problem on the linux version - is this more or less correct? 2) I have installed PHP4 on Win NT with IIS 4 and can get *.php* pages to run on the server in what I would expect to be the normal fashion, but when I try and escape from html pages to use php commands it don't like it (the php is ignored, but the html works as normal). When I set up the php4isapi.dll as a filter, IIS won't start (inetsrv.exe error message from Dr. Watson). I checked the registry entry and it seems ok. Also the php.ini seems ok. I've also tried the four ways of escaping from html as listed in the php manual, with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike Wright
