: Howdy again folks,
: Last week I posted some interesting load testing
: problems I found with session, and basically discovered that
: under a load session variables seem to be instable, and basically
: doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone was looking in to this?
: I was able to reproduce this regularly using http_load. All you
: need is a very simple script that just registers 1 variable and increments
: it each time the script is called. Then have http_load hit that script
: 50,000 times. One would expect the session variable to be equal to 50,000
: when the test is over, but it doesn't. I was able to discover this with a
: load testing tool I wrote myself, but reproduced this with http_load.
: This seems like a pretty simple, but major problem with sessions that
will
: prevent me from using it, since I can't reply on the stability of session
: variables.
I wonder if http_load caches the cookies and puts them in the next
request, does it? If not, then are you passing the session ID as
part of the URL? If no, then php would think of the request as a new
request each time and the session variable would always be the same.
How do you check to see if session variable has increased; through
browser? Well, you should know that browser will have a new session.
Please recheck.
Thanks.
