Howdy again folks,
Last week I posted some interesting load testing
problems I found with session, and basically discovered that
under a load session variables seem to be instable, and basically
doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone was looking in to this?
I was able to reproduce this regularly using http_load. All you
need is a very simple script that just registers 1 variable and increments
it each time the script is called. Then have http_load hit that script
50,000 times. One would expect the session variable to be equal to 50,000
when the test is over, but it doesn't. I was able to discover this with a
load testing tool I wrote myself, but reproduced this with http_load.
This seems like a pretty simple, but major problem with sessions that will
prevent me from using it, since I can't reply on the stability of session
variables.
I am more then willing to try and help debug/fix this problem with some
help. Other then this bug, I think php4 is very solid for my uses at this
point. Thanx for the awesome product.
Walt
