I'll second that. We're about to launch a portal site[1] which uses PHP4 on
W2k/IIS. The CGI version with the patch Zeev made to fix bug #3041 has been
very stable.
I'm seeing 2-4 hits per second (requiring 5-10 MySQL queries per page) on my
wimpy little PII350/IDE desktop box. The real servers (IIS/PHP and MySQL each
get their own dual-PIII boxes with a nice disk array) do rather better. (Of
course, I also have a K6-450/IDE box running Linux/Apache which utterly
crushes the NT boxen; such is the wonder known as mod_php)
[1] Obviously, I can't identify the site yet but I'll post a notice when it
launches. There's a lot of neat PHP4 work, too; I'm going to see if I have
time to write some articles about it.
