After setting the path to the php4 directory did you remove all of the
php dlls from the system32 directory?
Maybe there's a conflict between a php3 dll and a php4 dll.
So after removing all php dlls from system32 remove the path to the
php3 directory and try to run php4 only - maybe that's working.
Your problem sounds to me like a dll conflict which probably will not
be solved with the php final release.
