Hi Rich,
This looks like a nice piece of work to add in some functionality to PHP,
and I applaud you. From what I understand, this is basically a
detached/cached rowset concept, which is similar to replicated /
synchronized Rowsets, and would depend on a refresh interval.
How bout a comment from the PHP Guru's / Developers - Is there any plan to
build an appreciation of the 5 cursor types into PHP and tie cursors
dynamically back into the database layer, facilitating true Cursors?
Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
My own implementation consisted of a set of supporting C language extensions
to PHP that does all the 'heavy lifting', accompanied by a PHP class that
provides encapsulation and data hiding. The need was based on the fact that
we wanted to allow users to page through query results, but it also ended up
having other benefits, such as query result sharing between users. You can
see the documentation at:
http://iseek.com/phpcursor.htm
It's been a real success story.

-Rich
