I don't remember if this was discussed before or not, but I just
discovered that a select which may potentially have NULL results in some
rows will not be fully returned by mysql_fetch_array(). NULL results
just disappear. I think they should be returned as PHP's NULL values.
We'd like to make a change where the NULL values would be returned as
part of the array. However, this may potentially break some scripts
which depend on not having NULL values in the returned arrays. But since
the same script can receive "" (empty) value from the database and the
difference between NULL and "" is not that great, we feel that the
consequences will be minimal.
Unless we receive lots of strenuous objections to this, we'll implement
the change before PHP 4 release.
