I experimented with using PHP4 along with AOLserver 3.0 during the last
few days. It's amazingly fast/light compared to Apache 1.3.xx but when I
tried to do a query to a MySQL database the AOLserver log reported an
overflow in a file called something like "zend.c". The page would work
ok if I was just calling it from my browser although if I hit refresh
too fast a complaint would appear about not finding files in the include
path which was "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" which was very incrroect.
Also, hitting the server with multiple requests using Apache Bench
resulted in the aforementioned overflow in the log files. Even with just
3 concurrent requests.
Is anyone on the list interested in the overflow messages generated? I
can test it again when I get home tonight and post results tomorrow.
Donncha.
