hello, I am having a problem getting the php-4.0.0 code to work with my install of apache. it all compiles fine but when I start the server it goes through the initialization then forks off the listener and quits. well the listener segfaults almost right away. what is happening is it is trying to setuid to nobody so it calls getpwnam() to find the UID for nobody. deep inside getpwnam() it crashes. this only happends when I have the php4 module included. it works fine with the php3 module. here is the stack trace: (no debugging symbols found)... Core was generated by `/usr/sbin/httpd'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. Reading symbols from /lib/libm.so.6...done. ... (gdb) where #0 0x403d7954 in ?? I looked through the php4 source for all getpwnam's but it seemed fine. cheers, Angus.
