Hi!
I was wondering whether I'm doing something wrong or there is a problem with
the PHP configure (or something else).
Anyway, I was rebuilding the PHP static module, and after remakeing the
apache binary, there was a gazillion of unresolved references, all connected
with Informix.
My configure line is:
./configure --with-ftp --with-ttf --with-mysql --with-informix=/opt/informix
--with-zlib --with-pdflib --enable-track-vars --with-mhash --with-gd
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.12
configure, make and make install all worked fine. But, after I went to the
Apache directory and executed make, there were those unresolved references.
Since it seemed obvious that there's a library missing, I added the
following to the Apache's src/Makefile:
LIBS1=......... -L/opt/informix/libs/esql -lifsql -lifgen -lifos -lifgls
-lifglx -lifasf -lixcli
And it works fine now. However, I guess this should be done automatically.
Any ideas what might be the problem?
Also, unrelated to this, before trying to compile in Informix support, there
was a bunch of unresolved references which were fixed by linking in -lltdl,
whatever that is...
Well, anyway, it's working now. I just thought I'd share my experience...
Ah, I'm running Slackware 7.0.0, Apache 1.3.12, PHP 4.0.0 (the later
version), and Informix client libs from about half a year ago (don't know
how to check the version ;).
