That is exactly what I intend to do, link against libdb2, and possibly
provide a gdbm->db2 file converter proggie (btw does anyone have something
like that lying around to save me from the trouble? :). Anyway I'll wait
for this until the upstream build is capable of making shared extensions,
I don't want to mess around with it like I did with php3 :)
