Hi there,
I'm a bit new to the CVS... I've tried to connect/read the PHP4 tree from cvs.php.net
using the following:
cvs -d :pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository login
but it never asks me for a password (as I expect)...
It gives me an error:
(Logging in to cvsread@cvs.php.net)
CVS.EXE [login aborted]: could not find out home directory
Of course I tried to set the environment variable (CVSROOT) to any possible value I could think of
:-)
Like
set CVSROOT=c:\cvs\php4
or
set CVSROOT=/cvs/php4
or even
set CVSROOT=:local:/cvs/php4
:-)
Nothing happens (a part from the same error)... I'm starting to think that this is not the
point... :-)
BTW, I'm trying to download the tree using CVS for Windows (it's the only way I have to
use this WinModem :-(
Any suggestion would be appreciated,
thanks
Marco
