If you are using it as a DSO, try building it as a static module. Apache has a build bug on glibc-2.1 systems that I hope to have fixed for 1.3.7. -Rasmus This is strange though. I built it the same way I did for 3.0.9, which was using apxs. Version 3.0.9 works flawlessly. I had similar problems with 3.0.11 but never investigated whether it was includes that caused the failures, I just went back to 3.0.9. As mentioned by another person the "document contains no error message" is because of a segfault as evident in the Apache error log. What do I need to do to build as a static module and what effect (if any) does that have on features and performance? You can follow the instructions in the INSTALL file. Static modules perform significantly quicker than dynamic modules - often by 10% to 20% quicker.
