How about trying the same thing using more requests and fewer rows
selected each time to more accurately reflect something people might do in
the real world? Use the ApacheBench program (ab) to send a fixed number
of requests. eg.
ab -c 5 -n 500 -k http://whatever
Also, if you could run this from a different machine instead of using the
loopback it would be more accurate.
