I am attempting to run php as a cgi under win98/95. I have used it as a
module many times, but I can't (The cygwin stuff craps out on 98 and the
httpd won't load any pages under 95...the "help" man is away for a few
weeks). I have tried the instructions in the included documentation, to no
avail. I need this for a demo by my boss on Monday on a laptop NOT
conneceted to the net (so I can't use my online app). I have a standard
apache 3.6 distribution (binary) installed in Program files\apache
group\apache\etc. My httpd.conf file has
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
AddHandler cgi-script .php3
Action application/x-httpd-php3 "/php/php.exe"
I commented out the cgi-bin script alias and <directory> directives, but
had them in for some of my attempts.
Can anyone explain how to get this working?
I get log errors from apache about including shebangs (#!) at the top of my
files (didn't help).
Do I need to use something like IIS used to have http://URL/php.exe/file.php3
or similar?
Thanks.
