I see the same messages when I build both php 3.0.12 and 4.0b2. However,
it does detect the zlib later on and it does specify -lz in the link
command for apache. The PDFlib 2.0 functions work fine in both versions
of PHP. I have not tried PDFlib 2.01 yet.
