I'm still having trouble when I configure apache 1.3.9 w/ php4b2. The
error I get when I configure apache is (the complete script dump is at
the bottom of this message):
Creating Makefile in src
+ doing sanity check on compiler and options
** A test compilation with your Makefile configuration
** failed. This is most likely because your C compiler
** is not ANSI. Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such
** as gcc. The above error message from your compiler
** will also provide a clue.
Aborting!
The series of commands I used to try to configure apache and php were:
cd /usr/local/apache/
SSL_BASE=/root/install/openssl-0.9.4 RSA_BASE=/root/install/rsaref-2.0/local
EAPI_MM=/root/install/mm-1.0.10 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-module=ssl
--enable-shared=ssl
cd /usr/local/php/
CFLAGS='-O2 -I/root/install/openssl-0.9.4/include' ./configure --with-mysql
--with-apache=/usr/local/apache --enable-track-vars --enable-memory-limit=yes --enable-debug=no
cd /usr/local/apache/
SSL_BASE=/root/install/openssl-0.9.4 RSA_BASE=/root/install/rsaref-2.0/local
EAPI_MM=/root/install/mm-1.0.10 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a --enable-module=ssl --enable-shared=ssl
(apache works without the --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a)
(I also got the same error without all the ssl/rsa/mm junk)
I tried "make clean" in my apache directory, and got:
===> src
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/apache'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/apache/src'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `clean'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/apache/src'
make[1]: *** [clean-std] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/apache'
make: *** [clean] Error 2
Is this part of the problem?
Thanks!
