Im having some problems with session management with PHP4 Beta 2.
I have started the session [session_start();], registered the variable
[session_register('x');], and verified the variable exists in the
session/temp file.
My problem is when I go in the next php page, and refer to the variable, it
is empty (e.g. print "X contains: $x<BR>";) shows that it has nothing in it.
For every php page I call, I re-run session_start() (I assume that is
correct) but for some reason $x appears empty, when the numbers appear in
the temporary file. Do I need to run something to obtain the data out of
$x, or am I doing something wrong? Perhaps the requirement of using the
global $x feature?
I would run the latest version of PHP4 CVS tree but I can't seem to build it
correctly (no visible errors) and it keeps on segfaulting (11). :(
Yes, enable_track_vars is enabled.
Thanks!
