The Informix libraries are not listed in your gcc line, so something is not right. Try to rerun the whole process : ./configure Apache without options except --prefix=.... ./configure php4 with Apache EXTRA_LIBS="-L/opt/informix/lib -L/opt/informix/lib/esql -lifsql -lifasf -li fgen -lifos -lifgls -lm -ldl -lcrypt -lifglx" ./configure apache with modphp4 That works fine for me. I don't like to change configuration files.
