Installing w pdflib-2.01 under linux.

Hi.
I'm trying to build b3 with pdflib without success, no problem configuring n installing pdflib
and then I run php configure:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.9 --enable-track-vars --enable-sysvshm --with-pdflib
and it bails out at:
checking whether to include Pdflib 2.x support... yes
yes
checking for PDF_close in -lpdf... no
configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 2.x. You may as well need libtiff and libjpeg. In such a case use the options --with-tiff-dir=<DIR> and --with-jpeg-dir=<DIR>
same thing happens when I link /usr/local/lib/libpdf2.01.so to /usr/local/lib/libpdf.so
or /usr/lib/libpdf.so
any clues?
