GD Broken in latest CVS?

Is it just me, or has GD support suddenly broken in the latest CVS (and in
the CVS dating back to at least 11/16/99)? Apache children are dying all
over the place.
I haven't changed a single thing on my machine, except deleting all of the
PHP source, and re-cvs'd it.
PHPINFO shows it's installed...

> Version 1.2 with FreeType support
Just checking if anyone else is seeing this before I open a bug ticket..
