No problem, I'll gladly send you a patch. What do you want it to do :
1) Change the two socket(PF_xxx,...) instances in ftp.c to
using AF_xxx;
or
2) Change all socket(AF_xxx,...) instances to using PF_xxx.
In case 2) I would like to add a #define PF_INET AF_INET line for
BeOS. I have no idea where it should go, though. Thoughts ?
Probably the best thing would be to have a configure test for
PF_xxx. That way you'd automatically handle any other
non-conforming system (unless you're absolutely sure BeOS is the
only system around that does not define PF_xxx).
I don't know how to do that either, sorry (I'd be happy to learn !)

PS: I'll file a bug against BeOS right away. But I don't think
they will fix it very quick.
