Assuming I am running mod_php. How much trouble would it be to have Apache call back a user defined PHP4 procedure in different steps of its URL processing for purposes such as URL processing or other operations? It's trivial, assuming I understand you correctly. There's already a function in Zend that lets you execute arbitrary code - you simply provide it with a string. Currently, performance wise it wouldn't be too efficient, since you'd have to start and stop Zend each time you want to call it (or you can optimize it so that it's only turned on once and turned off once, but still, it'll be turned on&off once again if the request is a request for a PHP file). I'm not sure if you'd notice that though. Zeev -- Zeev Suraski <zeev@zend.com> http://www.zend.com/
