I have a script I wrote in Perl some time back for this exact purpose to
obfuscate a Perl module. Basically is changes all variable names to
meaningless, very similar (i.e AbbbCiie and AbbCiiie) values and removes all
unnecessary white space and all comments. It should be relatively trivial
to translate it to PHP or it can be run as a Perl program.
Anyone who is interested can contact me an I will email a copy. (NOTE: Do
not include "PHP4BETA" in the subject line or your email may get lost in the
daily traffic.)
