Hello,
Would someone mind explaining to me the intricacies of server-side session
cleanup? As I understand it, session's are cleaned up based on the
gc_probability and gc_maxlifetime vars.
The gc_probability variable determines when the sessions will be cleaned up
based on incoming requests for new sessions (that part I get). I don't quite
understand the gc_maxlifetime variable. Does it clean-up all sessions older
than the value specified in gc_maxlifetimes regardless of whether they've been
used recently, or only sessions that haven't been touched for that period of
time?
Thanks for the help.
