I've just put up -ng2 which adds dependency tracking.
./configure, make deps, make.
These dependencies can be used with all versions of make.
Dependencies are portable, there is just one requirement to
generate them: The mkdep script needs Perl. I might later add
support for gcc's automatic dependency tracking.
