Hi,
I'm Having some problems with 'session_set_save_handler'. It isn't very
well documented (*grin*), so the only option is to have a trial & error
approach when testing it.
The only documentation I've found of this function is on the web page,
which is, to say the least, very sparse.
The problem I'm having is this:
All works well with the 'open', 'close' and 'destroy' functions, but I
have but a few times seen any output from the write function, and in those
cases it writes out the $val as the $key and nothing as $val.
I.e. my function looks like this:
function write ($key, $val)
{
echo "write ($key, $val)\n";
return true;
}
The above only returns the "variable|type:value" portion of the data. If I
for instance have a variable called 'foo' and set it to 1, I would get
this from the function:
write (foo|i:1;,)
instead of
write (sessionid, foo|i:1;)
And that's not all. Most of the times, I don't even get output from the
function at all.
What's going on? Any hints? Am I doing something wrong here, or is this
just a passing Beta thing? If it is a Beta thing<tm>, when might there be
a solution to this?
I might add that I'm running PHP 4.0 Beta 3 as a module on a Apache 1.3.9
with mod_ssl.
