Hello all,
I use windows95/Xitami/MySQL/PHPb4 and PHP3.0.12 for local development. Some day I'll get
Linux reinstalled on this machine, and this won't be an issue.
I support several sites that use v3. And I want to make sure that my code will transport to v4,
so I also have that installed locally only. My problem is that I have code using crypt(), gd1.3,
etc. Where can I get the dlls for these? Is there a reason crypt() is not included in php itself?
A reason it's only needed for windows (crypt isn't that difficult is it)?
I have Visual Studio 97 (not installed at the moment). Can I get the code and compile these
myself? Has anyone already done these?
On another topic, when is the compiled bytecode thing supposed to happen? Is a beta available?
On windows?
Thanks for any help here,
John
