I just have done it. I first configured for apache :
./configure --with-mysql --with_apxs
make
make install
So my apache install was ok.
Then I cleaned the whole thing : rm config.cache; make clean, and
configured for CGI :
./configure --with-mysql --with_apxs
make
make install
This last make install just put the php executable into /usr/local/bin.
No conflicts at all.
It works perfectly, appart that when you use it for scripting, it
outputs two lines at the
beginning :
content-type: text/html
[blank]
Hope this helps
