I *did* use only --with-openlink. When Apache tries to load the libiodbc.a from /usr/local/openlink/lib, it gives me the error message shown in my original message. I looked again at the client components available on the web site. There is only 1 file that I could find for my platform. The file is called a4brzzzz.taz. It is the client components for AIX 4.2 PowerPC. This is the file that I installed.
