PHP Group
I noticed that PHP.net sends a lot of visitors to Meetup.com while I was researching a new service at Meetup. MeetupNetworks (as the service is tentatively named) will create Networks out of local groups that are currently meeting through Meetup and other sites. As a popular website that has previously linked to PHP Meetups, I thought that you might be interested in being one of the first to try MeetupNetworks.
At the moment I write this, there are 80 PHP Meetup Groups all around the world (http://php.meetup.com/about). However, there is no easy way for these groups to speak with each other, much less with groups organized outside of Meetup.
MeetupNetworks will form exclusive communities of local group leaders who can share information and resources. Each MeetupNetwork will have it’s own goals ranging from expanding the topic to allowing for coordinated actions. As the first organizer of the PHP MeetupNetwork, you would play a vital role in shaping the agenda for PHP groups worldwide.
We are currently early in the development of MeetupNetworks, but plan to launch soon. As we are developing with users like yourself in mind, we would love to get feedback from you on what you want MeetupNetworks to do for you. It should only take about 15 minutes, and we're willing to schedule our calls or emails around your availability this week.
If this interests you, please let me know when you would be available to chat.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
