We'd probably need to tie that to web/php karma (ie people who can
post news can tweet), but if someone wants to write the code for that
I'm happy to help wire it up on the account side.
To be clear, since I don't think it's ever been stated outside of IRC:
I'm currently the person tweeting as @official_php. I'm happy to share
the password with anyone who wants it — I've been mostly using it
announcing releases and the odd @ reply to things that can be
effectively replied to in 140 characters or less — or if you have
something you have a burning desire to say, you can just poke me via
e-mail/Twitter/IRC and it shall be done. (Also, in case I'm ever hit
by a bus or start tweeting inappropriately: the account has
systems@php.net as its e-mail, so you don't need me to perform a
password reset.)
