He committed it half an hour ago, it'll show up in under 2 hours.

For it to show up in the calendar you'll have to click the "event
submission form" as "news entries" and "calendar entries" are not
shared.
Calendar entries more then couple of months in the future do not show
up in the calendar btw. The onlyones who do show up (+2months) are the
reoccuring ones, not one-time-events.
