The course runs from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. This 5 day PHP Boot Camp teaches those new to PHP the skills they need in order to become effective PHP developers. Special emphasis is placed on developing reusable, secure, and scalable PHP applications. Students will learn the basics of the PHP Language and build web applications in class that securely handle web forms (including preventing Cross-Site scripting and SQL Injection attacks), manage user data securely, send email using PHP, generate RSS feeds and XML output, handle PHP file uploads, and interface with a back end database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.). This course is taught using PHP Database Objects - which allows PHP applications to interact with a wide range of different databases - and future-proof PHP code against some client API changes. This course covers the fundamentals of PHP programming, and also covers some advanced features of the language, such as Object Oriented database access, XML, and sending text and HTML email messages.
