Just in case you missed it, the current (implemented) version can be
seen at http://prototype.php.net/
If you would like to build upon that and improve it, especially the
content area, that would be great, and imo more productive than starting
yet another redesign from scratch effort. That aside, I think your
design looks great but I have concerns about the mega-dropdown that is
missing, while it looks a bit awkward, I think it provides a great way
to highlight many different community "places" that people might be looking.
