Just in case you missed it, the current (implemented) version can be seen at http://prototype.php.net/ If you would like to build upon that and improve it, especially the content area, that would be great, and imo more productive than starting yet another redesign from scratch effort. That aside, I think your design looks great but I have concerns about the mega-dropdown that is missing, while it looks a bit awkward, I think it provides a great way to highlight many different community "places" that people might be looking. Cheers, JordiHi Darcy, Your mockup looks great. I agree with Jordi that it would be best to continue to build on the work that was done on the current prototype. I'm sure you could incorporate some of your ideas.
I have concerns about the mega-dropdown that is missing, while it looks a bit awkwardDaniel messaged me a while ago with a different take on the mega drop down. Instead of floating the mega drop down, he suggested we could display it inline by sliding the page down. You can see an example here: http://www.npr.org/ I think this would look less awkward.
