I will concede that perhaps it could've been better-worded on my
part, as well, to say that it is *planned* for that to be PHP 6, not
that it definitely will. However, keep in mind that the code itself
is not only built for self-detection of major version equaling or
exceeding 6 (which certainly suggests the intent), but also notes
throughout (such as the SVN rules I pointed out) also state, quite
plainly, that the trunk *is* for PHP 6.0 development, not for
development of what "may become" PHP 6. I'm well aware of all of the
discussions and arguments, but the simple truth is that, if we want to
work toward reducing confusion, it may be worthwhile to start with the
code itself (don't laugh.... I know).
