I'm a newbie here, but might it have something to do with globals in your php.ini? The default is to have globals off. If you want form variables to be available in your scripts, you'd need global variables activated in php.ini. A better solution may be using $_POST['formvar'] or $HTTP_POST_VARS ['formvar'] - others will surely correct me if I'm wrong. Also, the value tag in your HTML should be value="formvar" Again, I'm a newbie, these are just my observations.
