[snip past problems w/ IIS and MSSQL7]
I don't use ISS, but I had the same problems when uncommenting the MSSQL70
dll from my php.ini file. I also had the same problems when uncommenting
OCI8 support and that problem was solved by installing php4win located at
http://www.php4win.de/
This php4.02-dev version includes MSSQL7.0 support compiled in [as well as
OCI8 for 8i clients only]. I'd be willing to bet that that will solve your
problem.
I just tested it, and uncommenting out php_mssql70.dll with the php4win
version of php4 works fine. I didn't attempt to connect to our MSSQL7 db
yet [will try that next week], but php.exe didn't hang and use up 100% CPU
like it did before.
