Even though "Everyone" has rights to the directory, you will need to create
a user on the XP machine that has the same name as the user on the 2k
machine that is running the script. Make sure the passwords are the same,
too. Everyone actually means "all the users that are created on this
machine" not anyone in the world who tries to connect to your computer
(assuming you have Simple File Sharing turned off?).
