Hi, I'm new to the list so this question has probable been asked before, so
pls forgive me. anyway here goes
I'm very new to php, my only server side scripting before has been with ASP,
in the next week or so I will be developing some sites based around apachi
and php running on some flavour or Linux. my problem is that at home I only
have a win 2000 box with iis 5 (don't ask why I don't just install Linux, I
have tried but my machine's disc config is all wrong for lilo). So I want to
learn php as close to the linux/apachi (php as module) as possible but with
win2k/iis5. Do I want to run php as an ISAPI filter or a cgi exe? is there
any major differences, performance aside between the 2 set-ups. Also are
there any other major differences between the win32 version of php and the
Linux version.
thanks for the help.
